ADOPTED!
River is a very stunning horse who is in need of a new home. He is a younger, Appaloosa gelding that could make the most amazing horse for the right home. River has had some basic training in the past, and was ridden, until he was in an accident during transport a couple years ago. His back leg was injured, and he has not been ridden since. His leg healed but he does show some slight lameness sometimes. River is an alpha horse and requires submissive pasture mates. He is currently pastured with a senior mare and he adores her. He is an easy keeper and does not require any special feed or medications. He’s roughly 15’3 hands tall. River is being re-homed because he is in a large pasture with cattle and feels territorial over feed/hay and goes after the cows. We recommend that he’s pastured with horses only and in a home that has horse experience and is comfortable training him, or hiring a trainer to work with him. He is currently located in Marshall, NC and there is a re-homing fee.
